It's funny, because at the end of Breakthrough I couldn't really imagine living my life without the other teachers, the students, and the admins--even though they were people I'd just met in June. Weekend #?? of summer was a good one. It involved various escapades, including a viewing of HP:OotP, a trip to Chicago to see Blue Man Group, buying a comforter (thus ending the week-long comforter vs. quilt debate), and a lot of loafing.

Let's see. ( I really liked HP:OotP. )

So Chicago wants to host the 2016 summer olympics.

When I saw that headline, I got all excited and thought, "Great! I will come home from school and then I can go watch the summer olympics, which have fascinated me since our 7th-grade reports on olympic sports!"

I have this insane urge to be out of college and settled down, which is kind of extremely frightening.

Tiredness is overtaking me. It's only 6:30. What is wrong with me?!

Back from Portland. I really enjoyed my trip, probably more than anything yet this year. It's a really cool city, made even better by the fact that John is there. So, I'm applying for this summer-teaching-middle-schoolers program called The Breakthrough Collaborative. I would spend 8 weeks teaching summer school courses to middle-school aged kids in a brand-new city (they don't have a program in Chicago).
